About Us

I began working in the jewelry business in 1993 as a salesperson for Helzberg Jewelers. After spending several years in shopping mall-based retail stores in the Kansas City area, I moved to Illinois to manage a family-owned store. Two years later we moved back to KC where I spent the next 6 years as the top salesperson for another local jewelry store.

On November 1st, 2008 my wife Bridget and I decided to open our own store, Then & Now Jewelry, in Blue Springs. We started with the goal of keeping our overhead low, and running the store ourselves, so we could offer our customers competitive pricing, hand-picked jewelry and better customer service than our competitors.

We believe the best way to build a business is by focusing on honesty, integrity, and building friendships. In fact, many of our closest friends started out as customers. Our business has continued to grow and evolve over the years, primarily through the word of mouth. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years, even those of you who just stop in to browse and chat for a while.
